Election Card
Election Card, also know as Electors Photo Identity Card (EPIC) in technical
language. Voter ID is issued by each state's Voting committee, in which the
voter's Photo is shown with their details i.e Name (along with Surname),
Father or Husband's name, address, DOB, etc...
What is the use of Voter ID?
Voter ID is one type of identity card, the major use of this card is for elections,
if you are holder of a voter ID then only you have the right to vote, and if
you wish to apply as a candidate for any constitutional post then also holding a
voter ID is compulsory.
Who can make election card? All citizens of India who have completed 18 years of
age on or before January 1 are eligible to get an Election Card. According to the
electoral system of India, general elections are held every five years and they
are specially campaigned by the Election Commission of the first state, so that no
voter is deprived of his right to vote.
Whom to meet for apply Voter ID? According to village and city there are different
offices, Collector office, Mamlatdar office, Panchayat office has a department or a
person for election.
